DECA has a number of conferences, each with a different focus, that are offered to students every year. Some take place within New Hampshire, and some are out of state in cities such as Orlando, Washington D.C., New York, Anaheim, and Nashville.

We have an annual DECA ADVISOR/TEACHER MEETING coming up on September 23rd, 2019, at the Lakes Region Tech Center in Wolfeboro, NH

State Career Development Conference

Held every February, this three day conference is one of the high points of the DECA year. This past year over 430 students competed in over 35 different marketing, management, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship oriented categories. They utilized skills they had learned and developed in their DECA programs and business classes, doing business presentations, tests, and case study analysis with judges who are business professionals or college staff in the local community. Students who win in these events are eligible to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference in April.  The next state conference will be held February 12-14, 2020 in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the Double Tree Hotel.

State Middle School Conference

The most recent Middle School DECA conference was held on March 14, 2019, in Henniker at New England College. The event was from 9 AM to 1:30 PM and included a variety of business and marketing activities for 8th grade students involved in DECA. NOTE: There is currently no Middle School conference planned for 2020, but it may be put on the calendar after January, 2020. Stay tuned!!!

International Career Development Conference

This is the capstone DECA event of the year, with students from all 50 states and Canada, Mexico, China, and Germany participating. Students participate in the same types of competitive events that were held in their state level competition, but with higher levels of difficulty. Also, students who did not win on the state level are eligible by merit to attend special Leadership Academies that DECA offers. In 2020, the ICDC will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, from April 29th through May 2nd.
